1. Decarbonization: Realization that climate change is real. Carbon emissions need to be reduced. Driving the megatrend of shift from Fossil fuels to Green energy (Solar, Hydrogen). Electric Vehicles are a subset of this.
2. Decentralization/ Blockchain: Love it, hate it. You can't ignore this one.
3. Digital services & convenience: Ola/ Uber, Zomato/ Swiggy, 10 min grocery, internet ticketing. Whatever helps us stay lazy or gives a dopamine rush is a megatrend.
4. Cloud computing/ Internet of everything: Data is growing exponentially. Read about two topics - Moore's law and Wright's law
5. Fintech - Unbundling of services by provided by Banks
6. CDMO/ CRAMS: Not an expert in this, but many call this the equivalent of the IT opportunity of early 2000s.
7. Social Media: Think how much time we spend on it vs our elders and you'll see.
